A Photo A Day To Take Your Breath Away

So if you have been reading the ol' blog, I have now finished my 30 Challenge and am now starting another personal challenge of....

a photo a day to take your breath away

I am both a professional and personal photographer and truly love photography, but I have found my self avoiding pulling out my camera when I am not being paid to do so. And I hate it. There are so many moments I miss out on because I simply don't feel like pulling out my camera. And I know there are plenty of other photographers who feel similarly, missing out on adorable moments with their children because they feel too burnt out capturing other peoples moments to worry about capturing their own.

So I invite you to join with me in this challenge of taking a photo a day. This challenge doesn't have a strict set of rules because I don't want it to be something stressful. Simply take a picture every day and work hard to......

1 Make it something involving your daily life. Don't feel like you have to make big amazing props and get together gorgeous models. This is to help you find the beauty in your daily life, and in your family. Something small and simple can be beautiful.
2 Work hard to include a story behind the image; a landscape of the area you live in, the first sign of snow for the winter, your children quietly playing with each other, the yummy meal your husband so sweetly made for you.
3 Shoot for yourself. Get your creative energies out. Sometimes it's hard to be as creative as you would like in a session. Take the time to put together a photo shoot where you are creating a piece of art for yourself at least once a month. Creating handmade props, finding unique locations... Whatever is art to you. That session you have been dreaming of but just haven't taken the time to do.
4 Don't stress. If you miss a day, that's okay. Your human. This is for fun, if it's too much of a burden to you, than don't do this challenge.

I am not setting a specific amount of time I want to do this challenge for because I want to work on capturing something beautiful every day. You can do it just for 30 days, 60, 90, 365, but that is up to you.

Little Henry. I get to shoot little Henry every month. I am so grateful I met him and his family! His mom is so willing to let me be creative with their sessions and I love her for that. I'll be honest, there were a few times this year I thought about stopping with my business, it's stressful! But each month little Henry is just a breath of fresh air and he is just one of the many clients I am so grateful to meet and be able to work with.

Happy almost Christmas! I am so excited for Christmas! I love this time of year. I don't do much shooting, and after the busy season I'm always ready for a break, but I have done a few wonderful sessions, most recently being my favorite little bug, Henry.

I love the photo's I got from this session. Love. So perfect, simple and lovely.

A Few Easy, but Effective Photoshop Tips

Photoshop is amazing, it really truly is, and just like your camera, it's a tool. You must learn how to use it first, and for some, that will take time. I am (mostly) self taught in Photoshop, but there is still plenty I don't know about it.

For most photographers I know who are Photoshop magicians, they are also self taught and had spent lots of time reading the Photoshop manual and experimenting. There are also plenty of online videos and tutorials with step by step tips on getting the most out of Photoshop.

One of the most important things to remember is that it's best to get a photo done right in camera. Don't start a session with the thought in mind, "I can just fix this in Photoshop later." Do you want to spend hours upon hours glued to your computer?

Extensive Photoshop will not fix a poorly done session.

Also avoid over editing. Please.

Here are some Photo shop techniques I often use when editing sessions.

I usually do the same things each time I edit a session.

Here is a before and after of how I handle a normal session.

I first open the photo in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) I adjust brightness, contrast, and temperature. In Photoshop I then do a Hard Layer at about 40% opacity. On most sessions I have been using MCP Fusion Actions. They have so many amazing, easy to use actions that make editing a breeze.

I then do an unsharpen mask to sharpen up the photo, and then do a surface blur to soften the skin.

In way of sharpening the photo I use a Unsharpen Mask (found under Filters) amount set to 75, radius set to 6 and threshold set to 6.

Here is close up of the before and after:

Be careful to not OVER edit eyes. This is very easy, and very common. Eyes do not give off a creepy glow. Never. On the above photo, I did nothing fancy to sharpen the eyes other then the unsharpen mask, which I do for every photo. The lighting on this session was absolutely perfect, creating perfect lighting in the eyes.

In editing black and whites -- for each session I give both color and black and white files of each photo to the client.

In how I edit the black and whites fully depends on the session and the subject. I have two black and white styles that I use.

The first is what I call a "rusty" black and white. It's an action I downloaded ages and ages ago for free. I had gone on a searching spree and found tons of free actions. Some were not so great, but this one was one of my faves. Sadly I don't remember where exactly I downloaded it, but thank you to whoever made it! I have downloaded lots of black and white actions, but this is my favorite.

My other black and white edit I do is just a classic black and white. Like I said, I have looked for lots of other actions for black and white's but I have found few I really love, so unless I am using the rusty black and white, I do this one, which is a creation of my own.
After doing my usual edits in Photoshop, I turn the photo black and white
(I am all about the hot keys = alt+ctrl+shift+b= black and white)
I then boost the contrast, usually by about 55 or 65, depending on the photo. And that's it! Super simple, but classic.

The Dark Side of Photography

When I was first getting into photography I always had my camera set to auto, or whatever my dad had set it to. I was horrible about understanding what numbers meant what, and what settings needed to be where. And even after reading blog after blog and book after book I still was totally clueless. I had an idea of what I was going for, I had an idea of what settings should look like, but I had no idea how to get them there. I'll be honest, most of my sessions were fully dependent on pure luck and good lighting. And I did okay, but my sessions weren't what I wanted them to be.

So... As a girl who is the most non-technical of all people, what did I do? I pulled out my camera, and pulled out my camera manual and started figuring it all out for myself. And it helped more then you could ever imagine. My SOOC (straight out of camera) pictures were beautiful (hello! Saving tons of time in post production) and I felt so much more confident while shooting a session all because I finally knew what I was actually doing.

It's been said a million times, but it's true; your camera is a tool. You have to learn how to use it in order for it to be working at full capacity. Just because your husband bought you a big, pretty, expensive DLSR does not in No Way make you a photographer.

Here are a few things that I try to keep in mind during a session in way of the settings I am looking for;

Rule of thumb -- the lower the better

Low ISO:

I try to keep my ISO at about 250. Granted, my camera can handle a higher ISO and will produce photos that are not too grainy, even when the ISO is high, but that fully depends on your camera.

Low Aperture: Lots of photographers will say, "I shoot wide open" or something along those lines, usually pertaining to what they set their aperture too. Wide open = more light. This also effects how much of your photo is in focus, or your depth of field. Ya know that pretty bokeh in backgrounds? You have to have a low Aperture to get that. So I always have my aperture as low as possible.
The lower the better -- the lower the better --

Understand Histograms:

This was something I never noticed and honestly, few other bloggers seem to talk about it, but about a year ago I took a workshop from the oh so amazing Nicole Van. One of the things that I use a lot that I learned from her incredible workshop was paying attention to Histograms. Each photo you take will show you a histogram of the photo, showing the levels of light and dark in a photo. Left is dark, right is bright. "Shoot to the right" is what Nicole would say.

The photo below is SOOC and shows the histogram for the photo. Now this histogram is not a prime one, it's a little on the dark side of the spectrum. I try to shoot to the right as I like to slightly over expose my photos, this makes editing a lot easier as it washes out the skin just a bit, making it look smooth a perfect.

Don't be scared to say, "I am just testing my settings" and take a few test shots to check the settings -- start the session off on the right foot and make sure your settings are where you want them to be.

Now that you have read my novel, my final, and best piece of advice is to turn off the computer, pick up your camera and start learning how your camera works. I could go on and on about how my camera works and what settings I like for a session, but the best way to learn is hands on. No matter how many blogs you read will ever beat that.

Why Hello You

You may remember Emma from a few months back. Well I got to photograph her adorable little face yet again. I am in love with the pictures I was able to capture from this session. The weather is certainly getting colder as fall begins to arrive, but this session was a perfect goodbye to summer. The lighting was flawless! And not to mention the oh so cute subject....

Their families were so sweet. There was a sudden 15 minute shower, but once it past the skies were a stunning blue with perfect white puffy clouds.

The past few weeks have been crazy to say the least and way more stressful then I want to even think about.

So basically what happened is two weekends ago I flew to the oh so dear to my heart Colorado and shot a lovely wedding. I flew home bright and early Sunday morning. And..... The next day we decided to move. And so started the lovely moving process.

It was unplanned, unexpected, and possibly slightly unwise, but we are now, rather, happily moved to Eagle Mountain. It is slightly weird being so close to home, but not really being home, but I can't express how happy I am to not be in Provo any more.

I have to say, I don't enjoy moving, packing, any of it. Yuck. When we moved into our apartment it took one trailer. To move out, it took 3 (not counting the many car trips without the trailer....). For our next move we will just buy a truck as apparently, we have enough crap to actually need one. Lesson learned.

I have been busy with lots of photo shoots lately and am Finally catching up. Sorry for being such a bad blogger =(

We will start from the beginning...

A couple weekends ago I shot Kyla's brother's wedding.

Tyler and Ashlie had an adorable, quaint little wedding.

On Friday they had a nice little BBQ at her parent's house.

Kyla and her adorable husband Travis made cupcakes for the BBQ. They were the yummiest, most gourmet cupcakes ever! She made three different types, a Vanilla Chai, Vanilla Almond cupcakes with a blackberry puree frosting, and chocolate balsamic raspberry cupcakes. Hello yummy! I didn't try the Vanilla Almond, but the others were amazing.

The next afternoon was the wedding of the lovely couple. They were married in a pretty little garden behind a very yummy restaurant, Augustine Grill.

Her dress was absolutely stunning and so unique. It had the most intricate beading and fit perfectly for such an adorable, unique girl.

I loved their cake! Their wedding revolved around an oh so cute bird theme.....

I felt so lucky to get to share in the beautiful joy and happiness that just oozed out of everyone at the wedding.

Brad and Julie ~ The Big Day!

I am so happy to be all caught up on all of my pictures! I edited both these weddings pretty dang fast too. Yay me! These weddings were a great way to start off the wedding season! I have lots more weddings booked this year and can't wait for the chance to meet and work with all my wonderful clients. If your wedding isn't already on my calendar, it should be!

I have some to die for, adorable spring shoot ideas that I can not wait to get into the making (I am still excited despite the fact that it was snowing, a lot, today).

But I won't keep you waiting longer, your here for pictures....

Brad and Julie are the cutest couple and their sealing was wonderfully heart warming.

And I can't forget to mention who absolutely wonderful it was that they got married on a Friday! The Salt Lake temple is truly a stunning place to shoot, but on your usual Saturday you really have to fight for your photo locations. But for Brad and Julie, it was nicely, just them with literally no run ins with any other couples and photographers.

Britney and Peter ~ Hitched!

It's been a busy past few weeks, but things are happily slowing down. I even had time for some oh so wonderful Spring Cleaning! I still have a lot to do but it feels nice to have gotten some of it taken care of.

Last weekend my adorable cousin and her boo Pete got married in the Timpanogos Temple.

On Friday - just the day before their wedding - that had a lovely little dinner and dance up at Pete's Uncle's house.

It was quite the house, if you could call it a house....

And the next day they were happily wed! The weather that day looked a little gloomy, and it actually was raining just a little bit on my drive to the temple, but luckily the rain held off until their Indoor reception!

Britney's dress was so so pretty with such adorable beading throughout the entire thing! And even more amazing, Pete's grandmother made it for her! Stunning!

And a small reception was held at the Bride's parents house.

Clouds, Mountains and... Sea?

With Spring coming and I am itching to clean and redecorate every inch of my apartment! Dave and I have recently agreed I get to buy one decor item each paycheck! Yay!

I wanted to hang some pictures up as well. In our living room I wanted a large panoramic shot of some mountains. I had never really done any before, so for a few days I was always sure to have my camera with me and would stop to take a picture of any pretty view.

One day before... and after work I went down to Utah lake and got some shots I love. I had gone down there before if you remember, that is where we did some engagement shots of Brad and Julie. On the day we had gone down together it was nothing like I had hopped for and was really foggy and gloomy.

But I went back and got some pretty pretty shots. I had this perfect picture in mind of super contrasty mountains and pretty clouds, that I planned to blow up and frame over our TV. I didn't get exactly what I had in mind... but I think I like what I ended up getting a bit better. ;

The two below pictures were a close tie on what to have printed and framed, but the bottom picture ended up winning due to it's pretty pretty clouds.

Funny story --- it was due to come in the mail Thursday, and so while I was at work I kept texting Dave asking if the picture had come in the mail but it hadn't. As soon as I got home I ran to the mail box, still nothing. Dave ran into the house to grab a coupon for dinner and we went to get some take out. Despite how late it was when we got back, I was still hopeful that by some chance it had come, but it still had not. Sad, I sat at the TV and started eating to find that Dave had sweetly already hung it up above the TV! So sweet!

I really liked the color version of this picture, amazing colors! But just since it was to be above the TV, I wanted it printed in black and white. Call me weird. You really have to come by to visit to get the full awe of it.

Oh and another pretty picture --- This would have been at the far right hand of the above shot, but I was having a hard time getting it to come together, so I edited it on it own.

I have recently discovered and fallen madly in love with Pinterest.

It's basically just a place where people share all the cool things they find online through pictures and links. At first it's kind of confusing, but it's amazing! I have found so many cool photos, recipes, DIY ideas and products! It's absolutely inspirational!

Below is just a handful of things I have found on Pinterest...

Valentines Weekend (Full Post)

Valentines weekend was lots of fun. Dave and I have been trying to be better about getting out of the house instead of staying cooped up watching our big TV over the weekend.

So....

Saturday morning Dave and I drove up to Trolly Square.

I seriously don’t remember the last time I went up there. I feel like my family use to go there a lot as I was growing up, but walking through Trolly Square was pretty heart breaking. There were so many empty shops! It’s such an awesome lay out, it’s sad how barren it is! But I was happy to find that we had a Williams Sonoma, I had no idea where one was in Utah. (But looking at there website it looks like there is one Provo, so that’s nice and close)

And (ironic) side note, Monday morning while listening to the news I found out that that Saturday was the 4 year “anniversary” of the shooting that went on at Troll Square, kinda interesting...

After that, we were both starving so we drove around for place to eat.

Almost every time we drive up to Salt Late I beg to go to the Corner Bakery, just because they are by far my favorite. But we wanted something different this time. So without much direction we just drove around Salt Lake until we found a small strip mall with a handful of restaurants.

We decided to eat at a little Greek place called Aristo’s. I honestly have not eaten much, if any Greek food and, being so so picky, I was nervous about it, but to say the least I am now a big Greek food fan.

I ordered their Chicken Wrap with a side of Orzo Pasta Salad and Dave ordered a Chicken Gyro and a Greek Salad. It was all so so so so so so yummy! I would love going back.

Also, to top off all the yumminess we enjoyed some oh so delightful baklava. Seriously so yummy. But! We did find out that you can not, CAN NOT get good "fast food" Greek food, at least in Orem. Wanting some Greek food and feeling too lazy to make it our selves and not wanting to drive clear up to Salt Lake, we went to a place in Orem that was hardly what we expected. And whats worst of all (not including the gas to get up there) we could have gone to Aristo's and only payed $5 more for a meal a million times better.

I think we will just start making it ourselves...

On Sunday we celebrated our happy 6 months of being married and Dave made an oh so yummy steak, crab legs, and coconut shrimp dinner and I made chocolate fondue for desert!

On Monday Valentines day Dave made a yummy little dinner with a baked chicken and potatoes with a yummy cheese sauce. And he bought me this adorable necklace and ring off of Etsy;

Brad and Julie - Engaged

This past weekend I was able to shoot for my sister in-law Julie and her fiancée Brad. We went down to Utah lake. I had this huge vision for the shoot; you can see clear across the frozen lake and you have a Gorgeous view of the mountains on the other side! Not to mention all the gorgeous sunsets lately....

When we got there sadly it was horribly foggy and not at all as I had gloriously pictured and hoped for, but I'm not giving up! The location has some serious potential and I will definitely be going back.

But I still love the shots I got.

They are so adorable with each other. They are both so goofy and I think that Brad fits into the family really well.

I am bored, so I am posting.

Here are just a few, okay a ton, of my favorite pictures of 2010.

I have had such a fun and eventful year, from getting engaged, to getting married to saying goodbye to my family.... My business has grown a lot too. I have never been this busy with pictures, and I feel like I am learning lots, and establishing a good style for myself too.

I am really looking forward to the new year. I have a lot of big goals and plans for myself that I look forward to achieving and seeing the changes I can make for myself in my life.

In March of this year I attended a Nichole Van workshop. I have been a long time fan of her work and was so excited to be able to meet let alone learn from her. It was a week jam packed of fun, yummy food and lots and lots of gorgeous pictures and learning.

On I think one of the last days she had some models come out that we were able to work with. This was my favorite shot.

The Le'Sabe. Dave drove this beast of a car for a while. It was horrid on gas, and broke down oh so often, but I loved the look of the car. So of course, we did a shoot with it.

The shot below makes me miss my sisters. I love it so much!

The Ring! I took these shots soon after getting engaged. I love my ring! It's so unique!

This is one of my favorite pictures of us. My hair looks adorable and my skin looks perfect (with next to no editing!) And oh how I miss the lighting on my parents old porch. Seriously the most perfect even lighting.

Dave got this shot of Christina at a little homecoming luncheon we went to. I love it so much. Dave really has a good eye. I have a goal this year to get him his own schnazzy camera so we can start team shooting.

He is so supportive, helpful, and willing to be dragged along to my shoots and I love him so much for that! Not to mention all the awesome photoshoot ideas he comes up with which we have yet to shoot and share..!

Yummy Summer! A random little shoot, with not much story but some fantastic shots! I keep meaning to blow this one up. I will some day.

Oh and I can't leave out my birthday Masquerade. Such a fun surprise party put on by my family and friends with plenty of yummy food!

A lucky little lady I was this year! I got to fly to Denver, Colorado to see some dear dear friends and shoot my girlfriends adorable little wedding! I still am oh so in love with the shots I got! They were so easy to work with, so up for anything and so in love.

I loved her dress, oh. so. much.

Oh and I got married too! On August 13th!

The family below is so adorable. I have babysat for them for a long long time. It's so fun to watch a family grow, even though it makes me feel so old. Hahaha. Thanks for being so fun to shoot!

This little girl is a part of family of some very close family friends. They live pretty far away now, which really is sad, but they are all so adorable and I miss having them close by! This little one is so so cute! When we were all done she said, "Oh, that's it? That was easy." (heart)

My Uncle and now Aunt. I loved shooting them. They are truly perfect for each other, so photogenic and so easy to work with. I have so many photos from their session that I love, but I'll just share this a fewn... I loved the night shots so much! I am really proud of them.

Ralph and Trang. Their wedding day was prime. His white tux was great! And the lighting on their wedding day was perfect. I have shot a handful of weddings this year and loved them. I already have three weddings I'll be shooting in 2011 and I am oh so excited!

These newborn shots are really nothing fancy, or extraordinarily creative, but I am pretty proud of them. I feel like I have a hard time shooting newborns. I can't bribe them with candy to smile or pose in a specific way like I can (not that I do *cough cough*) with other clients.... But I feel this shoot went well and I got some adorable shots of an adorable baby.

I shot a lot of family shots this fall, and got lots of shots I love! All the families looked good and were great to work with, but I will just re-share one! Isn't he adorable? Soon after we did this shoot, his family invited us over for dinner. For desert we had root-beer floats, and he was soupset when we were out and he wasn't getting any more. It was so funny!

Oh my adorable cousin Britney. We shot some Senior pictures for her at Flour Girls and Dough Boys. I love that little bakery/cafe. They are so yummy! And the decor of the place is so photogenic! I had always wanted to do a shoot there, and I finally got to! My girlfriend Mallory also did Britney's hair! She did such a wonderful job! We have big plans to work with each other a lot more on shoots! Keep an eye out for more details on bigger and better photo packages!

This family is so so adorable! When we started the shoot with the little family the oldest said "Adria, you're beautiful. You're my girlfriend." And the other boy said, "Mine too!"

I love this family shot. All of the kids were so cute! They were pretty done with the pictures at this point, but this shot is one of my by far faves.

This year I was itching to put up our tree! But I wouldn't let myself until the day after Thanksgiving. My parents were lucky enough to have an extra tree as they had (semi) recently bought a new one, so we got their old one! And I was happy to find our ceiling was not too low for it! Yay! I love having the tree set up and lit in our apartment! I feel so lucky to have enough space to be able to set it up!

Yay for good weather! At least for that day! It was not two cold and I was able to get two great shoots that day! Plus it was Thanksgiving for the Cavanaugh's. Since Dave had an uncle in town from Turkey they decided to do Thanksgiving early. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving? I love the stuffing and the pumpkin pie with plenty of whip cream.

I like winter but I am already getting sick of the cold! Wedding planning is undoubtedly stressful. I really didn’t find it tooo bad. But I feel rather obligated to share any tips and tricks I found that I think would be helpful to share.

Don’t be a Bride-Zilla
Most people said I was the most laid back bride they had ever delt with. You want your wedding day to be nice, but you don’t have to be a brat about it. Keep your head above water. Stay calm. And remember that everything will be okay in the end.

Go To Bridal-showsUtah is the place to be as a bride. The wedding business is huge here. We have so many bridal shows going on through-out the year. Go to as many as you can! I think we went to three. We won two free tux rentals. I won a free veil.Two make-overs and some Mary Kay product. We won a good number of other things.... But they are really helpful. Really informative. Just check online for ones going on. Places that host them are Thanksgiving Point, the South Town Expo Center, Provo High School, there is also one up in Salt Lake at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building which I didn’t go to, but is supposed to be pretty amazing. Also, don’t forget to pre-register! That’s super wise. And sign up for everything that is available. Be willing to give out your email. They will email you specials and deals.

DIY
Do it yourself! Do it! Be a doer! And it saves so much money! I had two bouquets. I won a $50 gift card for one, and my mom put together the other one for me. I rather disliked the $50 one. But I loved the one my mom did for me. Guess how much is cost? $15 for 2 dozen roses. The $50 one? Only a dozen roses. DIY. Fancy (pricey!) flowers are over-rated anyways. You can easily get gorgeous ones at reasonable prices, they just might not be as easy to find.

But... Cater Cater CaterWe did not cater. We DIY our food, which was not wise. Every one I talked to said Cater Cater Cater. And now I, and my parents are saying Cater Cater Cater. Yes, you save some money doing it yourself, but it is just so much work and head ache. Just scrape up the extra cash to get it catered and you will never regret it. Our wedding food was great! But I just recommend to cater. Cater. Cater. Cater.

Splurge On Your Photographer
Please oh please oh please realise how big of a deal the photographer at your wedding is. They will (should) be there almost every step of the way. (Granted, having your photographer at the luncheon, rehearsal, blah blah, is a waste) but the rest is important. I use to Nanny her adorable twins back when I loved my job. She is amazing at what she does and I recommend her left and right.
But Utah has lots of great photographer's. Like me! I love shooting weddings, (www.anomephoto.com) they are so much fun, and the more preparation I did for my wedding the more I fell in love with the wedding business.
Also I highly recommend doing groomals. Groomals are where you take pictures on a separate day in your wedding clothes at a unique location. It takes a lot of pressure off the wedding day it’s self (despite how wonderful of a day it is, it’s a busy day). Also, most couples find they like the groomals more than the actual wedding day pictures and tend to print more large prints

from that shoot.

Bargain Shop
Bargain shop! Find places willing to beat down their price to beat out their competition. If I remember right, my dress was selling for I think $900. I went to four different stores and got it down to $625! Most places were more than happy to try and beat out their competition. Do your homework. Be prepared. I didn’t have to do that for my photographer, or cake decorator, but you probably could.

Remember...
It is stressful, but it can be fun too. Just remember what’s important; the start of a new life, with your love! It will all be alright. Be happy! You’re getting married!

A Short Lived Colorado Trip

So on the 27th I left for Colorado. I spent time with the good old Creightons till the 30th.

On the 28th Kyla Creighton was wed to Travis Keri, and Kyla is now Mrs.Kyla Keri!

I shot their fun little wedding. Her dress was adorable, their colors were fun, and the food was yummy!

They were married under this big gorgeous oak tree. It gave us really good shade for pictures. And than we ran around downtown Denver and got shots of the happy couple.

The couple is from Denver and just absolutely love it, and wanted all their pictures to include Denver, and that's what they got!

It was a gorgeous day. It was warm and sunny. And just as soon as we started shooting, some clouds came over and it was nice and semi-shady. Not too dark, not too bright. Perfect lighting for pictures! We totally lucked out and got some awesome shots!

So if you know me well, you know that it's not new news that I'm getting married, but now I am officially engaged! Dave purposed on March 9th.

Have you ever seen the movie Elizabethtown? Well that's like our favorite movie. (If you haven't watched it, watch it.) In the movie Claire puts together a road-trip-book with steps and music and notes to go along the way for Drew.

Well that's basically what Dave did. He put together this book and it had all these places for me to go, notes, and music for me to listen to. I went to places like his work, my work, Cafe Rio (our first date), Spoon Me, among others, and finally the Marriott Center, where we met, and he purposed! So cute!

I picked the ring out a bit back. It's a beauty!

The wedding is August 14th! I have all these awesome ideas for our engagements! I'm so excited!
